Abstract

The modern office profession today requires new skills, and the information specialist must learn and acquire these skills continuously, and among the most important of these skills are: communication and communication skills, time management skills, working within a team, self-development skills, leadership skills,...etc. Which requires intelligence and the ability to innovate and improve the quality of performance of the specialist in his work environment.
On the other hand, the presentation of intellectual production literature represents an important pillar in the system of building scientific work, and it has great importance in identifying topics that have previously been studied. It also reflects the reality of the knowledge stock and intellectual production related to the subject. Based on the above, the current study aimed to analyze and extrapolate Arab intellectual contributions. and foreign studies on the subject of personal skills for information specialists in university libraries, with the aim of identifying its characteristics and analyzing its objective, temporal, qualitative and linguistic characteristics. (45) items published in the period from 2013 to October 2023 were included in the form of periodical articles, conference proceedings, and university theses, and are divided into (40) items in English and (5) items in Arabic. The study concluded that most studies focused on the types of personal skills required of an information specialist.
