Managing Big Data in Egyptian Public Libraries

Abstract

This study aimed to know types of Analytics used in Egyptian public libraries, determine the extent of knowledge of workers in Egyptian public libraries about the subject of big data and its analytics, identify the sources of big data in Egyptian public libraries, determine the areas of application of big data analytics in public libraries, and the extent to which administrations accept the application of data analytics In their libraries, as well as the extent to which employees and management accept the creation of a special section for analyzing big data in public libraries, and applying quadrant analysis to know the opportunities and challenges facing the application of big data analytics in Egyptian public libraries. And a good technology that qualifies it to apply big data analytics, and administrations accept the idea of applying big data analytics in Egyptian public libraries with a high percentage, up to (85.7%) of the total proportions of the study sample, and the Egyptian Public Libraries Administration accepts the proposal to create a special section for big data analyzes in libraries It is the automated system used in libraries The Egyptian public, and the data it contains
