Abstract

Generative Artificial Intelligence: The Journey of Evolution and Future Prospects (2025) by Magdy El-Gaky represents a pioneering contribution to the Arabic library—not only for its unique subject matter but also for being the first work authored with the assistance of generative AI technologies, specifically GAI.

The book is structured into five chapters, tracing the evolution and applications of generative artificial intelligence. It begins with conceptual and technical foundations, moves through the development of conversational agents such as ChatGPT and Gemini, and concludes with forward-looking reflections on the intersection between AI and creative writing.

The book is distinguished by its clear scientific style and logical methodology, starting with foundational definitions such as deep learning and natural language processing. It then proceeds to a historical overview of the generations of AI. The second chapter delves into the development of chatbots, while the third focuses on ChatGPT, analyzing its different iterations, capabilities, and limitations. The fourth chapter explores Gemini as an emerging competitor, comparing its technical architecture and features. The final chapter is contemplative, offering the author’s insights into the future of AI-generated texts and raising critical questions about creativity and authenticity.

This book serves as both an analytical and reflective intellectual map, balancing technology with philosophy, and reality with possibility. It offers an indispensable reference for researchers, practitioners, and anyone seeking to understand the contemporary digital transformations.
