Self-publishing is a term that has been known for a long time. In the past, self-publishing consisted of publishing houses rejecting a book for whatever reason from their point of view, such as if the author was new to writing and his name was not yet known, or that the field of the book was not currently in demand in the markets. At that time, the aspiring author, who did not despair of rejection, would carry out all the publishing stages himself or assign them to someone for a fee, then pay the book to the printer, who would print hundreds of copies of the book for him, which was its inevitable fate. A self-published book was viewed as a disgrace because it did not pass through a publishing house, as the prevailing belief in the past was that the publisher’s seal was evidence of the quality of the work. Which alerts the reader that the work has undergone a rigorous testing and comprehensive editing process, but with the advent of the Internet and e-books this idea has changed and it has become possible to publish the work anywhere, in any way, and in any form. The reader is the sole arbiter of the subject, and this is known as self-publishing.
