Abstract

The study aims to monitor and survey Arab and foreign intellectual production issued on the subject of using Internet of Things applications to develop library management systems from 2014 AD until the end of 2022 AD, to come up with quantitative and objective indicators of the bibliographical features of published intellectual production, based on the descriptive approach in its survey style, and the study ended with a set of results, perhaps the most important of which is the vertical superiority of foreign intellectual production on the subject over its Arab counterpart, and that the beginning of Arab intellectual production on the subject came only three years after the appearance of its foreign counterpart. The study also monitored about 72 studies on the subject, also 2021 AD is the year Studies related to the topic were published in it, where the number of studies reached 21 studies of the total studies, There are also objective axes that have greatly attracted the attention of researchers, including the axis of the general uses of the Internet of Things in libraries, and the use of IoT technologies with automated systems in libraries, in contrast to other axes that did not receive sufficient attention despite their importance, such as the axis of the requirements of applying the Internet of Things in libraries.
