Abstract

This study addressed one of the vital topics in the information and communication technology sector, the e-government sector and citizen integration, as it addressed the definition of Civic data, Engagement technology, Advocacy Tech, media technology, Emerging tech, and Artificial intelligence techniques. This study also dealt with an overview of the clarification of the relationship between the government, the citizen, and technology, and then to clarify the concept of civil technology, and to clarify the overlap and confusion in the use of both the terms Civic Tech., Civic Gov., Civic hack. Then he identified the location of the use of civil technology within the categories of e-government services, and listed the history of the emergence of the field of civic technology and the stages of development of the field, the main axes of the field of civic technology, and a presentation of some international civic technology platforms, then it addressed the uses and application of civic technology, and aspects of its success as well as its effects on both the civil technology sector (citizens, business, government) and the defects of civilian technology.
