Digital government in light of digital transformation programs and achieving the goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 vision: The Digital Government Authority as a model

Abstract

The study followed the concepts of digital government, its requirements, and indicators for measuring it nationally and globally. The study used the descriptive approach by following the two methods of case study, and content analysis with reliance on the observation tool. The Saudi digital government was followed through the Digital Government Authority, which is the reference body for regulating the services of government agencies provided to citizens and residents. Visitors and business owners from inside and outside the Kingdom. The study tracked its services, initiatives, achievements, and positions it occupied through global indicators, which confirmed that the Kingdom has made upward leaps in the field of digital government. Government agencies while ensuring speed, accuracy, quality, fairness, and transparency. Focusing on citizen-centered government and the remarkable interest in innovation, and the necessity of employing it in the field of digital government, and there is a close link between achieving advanced levels in the maturity of digital government applications and practices and knowledge management. The study recommended a number of recommendations, including the need to pay attention to building the digital government in the digital age, and work to provide its requirements. And work on drawing up strategies, plans, and organized policies for digital transformation to build the digital government with the need to involve the citizen and seek his opinion, strengthen the partnership with the private sector, and expand the conduct of more One of the studies that explain and clarify the digital government, its concept, its tasks, and its requirements.
